Ratings boards have been known to announce the release of new titles long before the official announce. It now seems that the South Korean rating board has leaked a home console version of Resident Evil Revelations, originally released for the 3DS earlier this year. The listing could be a mistake, but the 3DS version is listed as a separate entity.
Upon release earlier this year the game received rave reviews, and is said to be one of the best games available for the 3DS. Though the game didn’t exactly sell well on the then just released console. Taking place aboard the deserted ocean liner the Queen Zemirimas, players must fend of the ooze, zombie like creatures, as fan favourite Jill Valentine, and uncover the mystery hidden aboard the ship. With more than a few nods to old school Resident Evil, alongside the Resident Evil 4 and onwards control style, many feel that Revelations is a perfect blend between old and new, which given Resident Evil 6’s less than stellar reviews might be a reason as to why they want to port it over.
Also featuring the excellent raid mode, a spiritual succesor to mercenaries mode that mixes the combo driven mercenaries mini-game with loot drop and a light RPG level up system. Expect an announcement to come in the following weeks as to its authenticity and whether the release will be disc based or downloadable.
